Houndstooth scarf to zipper pockets | 2 Pinterest-inspired Outfits

Isn’t it frustrating when you find an outfit you love on Pinterest, only to find it was created so long ago that the items pictured are no longer available? I love recreating those outfits, like this women’s leather biker jacket. In this post, I took two of my favorite pins, and recreated their looks with currently available items. The first is an outfit featuring a houndstooth scarf with red accents. The second is a classy dressed-up casual look with a white zipper-pocket blazer and lace blouse.

Houndstooth scarf outfit

The houndstooth design is a classic pattern using simple colors, but it adds dimension to this outfit inspired by an old Pinterest pin.

Houndstooth is a pattern of alternating light and dark checks. This duo-tone pattern is also known as hounds tooth check, hound’s tooth, dogstooth, dogtooth or dog’s tooth. The weaving patterns of this houndstooth scarf are perfect for a cold morning.

In the Pinterest inspiration pin, the houndstooth scarf is paired with a shawl collar cardigan. While that cardigan is no longer available, I really like this button-up option. In addition to the cute scarf, accessorize with designer earrings, a bracelet and red designer tote handbag. Black flats complete this chic scarf look.

Zipper-pocket design blazer outfit

Mixing casual denim with dressed up lace and a blazer creates a striking contrast that looks amazing.

Accentuate the white lace and zipper-pocket blazer with aviator sunglasses and a gold fringe necklace. Complete the look with short-heel tan booties and a Tory Burch designer satchel purse.
