Pretzel variations
We like our m&m pretzel kisses with the regular mini pretzels, but there are lots of options including:
- Waffle mini pretzels
- Round mini pretzels
- Holiday-shaped pretzels
Chocolate variations
You can’t go wrong with regular milk chocolate, but these options can add something extra to the m&m pretzel treats:
- Rolos: use Rolo candies instead of Kisses for a caramel version of the pretzel treats. We especially to make Christmas Rolo Pretzels with red m&m’s and round pretzels – they look like little hats.
- Hershey Hugs: instead of kisses, use the black and white Hugs instead. The mixture of creamy white chocolate is pretty and delicious.
- Flavored Kisses: Hershey now makes lots of flavors of kisses, including sugar cookie, candy cane, cookies ‘n creme, cherry cordial, and caramel kisses.
- Chocolate chips: in a pinch, several chocolate chips piled on a pretzel would work too.

Ingredients for Hershey Kiss Pretzels
How to make Hershey Kiss Pretzels

Step 1 – assemble the pretzels and chocolate
Place pretzels in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat for quick clean-up. Pre-heat the oven to 200 degrees.
While the oven is heating, remove the wrappers from the Hershey kisses. This is a task little hands love to help complete. Place one unwrapped Hershey Kiss each on top of the pretzels.

Step 2 – melt the chocolate
Place cookie sheet in the heated oven for 4-6 minutes. The chocolate should be glistening but not drippy.
Step 3 – press in the m&m’s
When they’ve reached the perfect amount of meltedness, the chocolate should be soft enough to easily press the m&m down into the Kiss, surrounding the edges of the m&m with chocolate.

Step 4 – cool, store and eat
Place the baking sheet in a cool location until the pretzel treats reach room temperature. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
