Five on Friday – 2025 Valentine’s edition
It’s Friday and Valentine’s/Galentine’s Day. This has never been a holiday we celebrate a whole lot. And I know it is painful for many (and has been for me some years). So I’m wishing all of you joy and peace today. I’m also sharing five favorites, linking up with Andrea and Erika to have some light-hearted fun on a cold Friday.

Favorite #1 – Spending time with my sons
Our homeschool Teen Council planned a youth bowling outing. I’m one of the parent sponsors, so I chaperoned the event along with another mom. Spending time with my boys is always a favorite, and I cherish that time all the more as they’ve gotten older.
Favorite #2 – Brach’s Jube Jel Cherry Hearts
Valentine’s candy is definitely my favorite. I know a lot of people hate conversation hearts, but not me – I’ll eat them for all of you! But my favorite Valentine’s candy are Brach’s Jube Jel Cherry Hearts. They are only sold locally at Valentine’s Day, so if you’ve never tried them, now is the time to go hunt some down. My mom gave me a package when we saw her last weekend.
Favorite # 3 – purse and striped sweater
I found this “spiky” purse and I think it is so cute, especially paired with the pink and navy striped sweater. I really like that color combination for some reason.
Favorite #4 – my essential oil diffuser
I have a waterless diffuser that I use in my home office. It is so easy to use and will run up to two oils at a time for up to 8 hours. Last week I had an awful headache and remembered that lavender oil has helped that in the past, so I swapped that into my diffuser. I’ve been diffusing lavender all week and it is so relaxing, it is definitely a favorite this week.
Favorite #5 – Giraffe tee
This giraffe tee makes me smile for some reason, and that makes it a favorite this week too.

Oh my gosh I love that giraffe tee!! And I am so glad you posted that J. Crew sweater. I was looking at a similar one out of my price range (Kiel James Patrick) and this is such a good price for basically the same sweater!
My son starts bowling this weekend! I am excited to see how he does!
