As a mid-western girl who married a Kentucky boy, I’ve learned a lot of regional sayings over the years. One of my all time favorite southern sayings has to be “well butter my biscuit”.

What does “well butter my biscuit” mean?

It took me a few times to grasp the meaning of this phrase. It is usually heard in the context of a surprise, something delightful or exciting. Imagine the doorbell ringing at your house, and you open the door to see someone you didn’t expect but have wanted to see – “well butter my biscuit!”.

How to use this “Well butter my biscuit!” SVG

  • A sweatshirt of a t-shirt are perfect for this design. I make a lot of t-shirts, but I’m using a sweatshirt this time (I found this 100% cotton one that looks oh-so-cozy.)
  • A mug or tumbler – for that morning coffee, apple cider or hot cocoa
  • A reusable shopping bag
  • A decorative pillow. I like to make removable pillow covers and swap them out by season.
  • A gift of any of the above for a friend, a niece/nephew, son/daughter, sister, etc.

I really love how this design looks on white. Keep in mind that you can customize this so many ways by swapping out the colors of the words. Make it in your local school colors and wear to the games.
