Simple mango peach fruit leather (“roll-ups”) you can feel good about
Homemade mango peach fruit leather is a simple and delicious treat made with just three ingredients and no added sugar. Your family will beg you to repeat this recipe over and over!
Replace those store-bought sugar-filled fruit roll-ups with homemade fruit leather. I love having control over the ingredients in our food. This recipe has only three ingredients, and can be made with minimal or no added sugar by selecting versions of the ingredients that come that way.
I can my own peaches in a very light syrup, and my own applesauce without any added sugar. But we can’t grow mango in Kentucky (at least I can’t), but frozen mango often has no added sugar.
Tools you will need:
Blender – I recommend a Vitamix
Dehydrator (your oven will work too) – I love my Cosori dehydrator.
Dehydrator sheets – the Cosori comes with one, and you can purchase additional
Cooking spray (avocado or olive oil)
Spatula or spoon
Fruit leather ingredients:
Frozen mango chunks
Canned or frozen peach slices
Applesauce – I used unsweetened but sweetened will work

How to make mango peach fruit leather
If using canned peaches, drain the juice. For frozen peaches, no need to drain.
Combine the mango chunks, the sliced peaches and the applesauce in your blender pitcher.
You don’t have to be perfectly precise – if you have slightly more or slightly less of one of the peaches or mango, your recipe will turn out just fine. The applesauce is included to thicken the mixture, which should have a thickness like ketchup after blending.
Blend the ingredients until the mixture has no chunks and is uniform throughout.
Grease three dehydrator sheets (or cookie sheets if using the oven). Pour a third of the mixture into the center of each sheet, using your spatula to empty the pitcher. Spread the mixture evenly on the sheet. The sheet does not need to be completely full.
Place into the dehydrator at 135 degrees for 10-12 hours. If it is still wet to the touch, run for another 2 hours.
If using an oven, use the lowest temperature setting and check it frequently starting around the 6 hour mark to see if it is completely dry. Your leather will be a bit sticky, but shouldn’t be wet.

Mango Peach Fruit Leather
Ingredients
- 24 oz frozen mango chunks
- 16 oz canned or frozen peach slices
- 8 oz applesauce
Instructions
- Add mango, peaches, and applesauce to a blender and combine until smooth and uniformly mixed.
- Lightly grease 3 dehydrator fruit leather sheets (see Note 1 if using an oven instead of a dehydrator.
- Spread the fruit puree on the dehydrator sheets and place into dehydrator
- Dehydrate for 10-12 hours at 135 degrees.
- Peel the fruit leather, slice into strips (about 8 strips per sheet) and roll with wax paper.
Notes
- If using the oven, use a lightly-greased cookie sheet with at least a quarter-inch rim. Dry in the oven at the lowest temperature setting, checking after 6 hours and every hour thereafter.
- The leather should not come off on your finger to touch when it is done. The center of the tray finishes last.
