Homeschool moms can be so hard on themselves at times, so I created this design for encouragement – “She believed she could change the world so she homeschooled” is a statement I wholeheartedly believe. We are changing the world one family at a time.

We started homeschooling after moving to Kentucky in 2016. It was not part of the plan. But our son did not adjust well to the local school, and we had multiple very negative interactions. Fortunately, we were blessed to have options since my husband was not yet working after our move. We took a leap of faith and it was one of the best decisions we ever made.

Over the years, I’ve made several amazing friends through our homeschool community. A recurring theme in our conversations is self-doubt and worry about doing what is best for our children. In each and every one of these conversations, I’m talking to a mom who has made teaching her children her priority, and who is truly doing a wonderful job.

The personalized attention our homeschooled children receive allows them to learn so much more deeply and broadly than what I had the opportunity to do growing up. I wanted to encourage my peers (and honestly, sometimes myself) with this design. I wear this shirt often to homeschool events. Homeschool moms out there – you are making a difference for your child, your family, your community and beyond.

She homeschooled for a reason – it is a calling. Never forgot that mama!
